aiyoh. i think i very emo leh. i've asked God not to make me so emo. like what luan said, when we're too emotional, it may hinder us from our objectives. so, yup.
anyways- was reading the devotional guide and surprisingly, it's about intimacy with God. haha! i find it surprising 'cause i just had intimacy with God and then i'm reading about it. er. nevermind. -.-;
anyways- after the devotional guide, i still want more Word, so iread the bible. from 1 Samuel 1-3. i read about hannah, eli and samuel.
but today, i'm going to talk about this woman whom i admire alot from this few chapters- hannah.
i really admire her. it's like, i think she really has this childlike faith in God. this childlike character. she was barren and the people provoked her of being barren. so one day, she prayed to Lord. in 1 Samuel 1:10, its says, "In bitterness of soul hannah wept much and prayed to the Lord." and in 1 Samuel 1:18 it says, "She said, 'May your servant find favor in your eyes.' Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast." from here, i see that hannah had just summitted her request to God with this faith in her that she no longer was in bitterness after the prayer. it was as if she had the conviction in her that the Lord will Bless her. and to me, from what i read, i felt that she really has this childlike faith in Him. pardon me if i interpreted wrongly. -.-;
in 1 Samuel 2:1-10 was hannah's prayer. after all those years where the Lord has barren her and gave her no sons or daughters, she still praised the Lord in everything. it's like, she really sees the goodness from the Lord and she never bear grudge against Him about letting her be barren for so long before He gave her a son.
woots. yar. i really admire hannah. (:
and darilyn really wants to come but her mum dont let her go because it's a CHURCH event. BUT- she said she'll ask her mum by telling her, "can i go out with my friends on saturday to celebrate v-day at somerset?"
